I am not much of a bird photographer, but I am interested in practicing capturing action. Photos below are from a series from the Sepulveda Basin in Los Angeles. The challenges are similar to shooting liver performances, that is not much control. C&C welcome. Thanks.
Hi Paul, sounds like you are from an area that has much to offer and almost always good light, that is helpful I think by what I see here you will do fine Just like live performances have an eye for the 'good side of the light' and enjoy the beauty or the action. I rather like your second shot
I guess it was slow along the coast. The Basin is some distance and a mountain range away from the beach. No idea of how they got there.
I am in that area about three times a month, but mainly to jog around the park.
Thanks for the comments. I understand that there are some regular shooters at the Basin. So far, met two. Perhaps we will have the opportunity to meet there.

Paul,
you found gulls at Sepulveda Basin
I've not ever seen one there & I go all the time....
The second one is amusing with the coot running on water....
Thanks. I am surprise by the water splashes, something that I only notice while processing the shot. The bird was traveling very fast given the shape of all three splashes.
