Excellent series Ken , I loved the Say's Phoebe captures #5,6 and 14 are my favorites, but all are great except the new duck called Golden Nello that one wins the prize .
From your short outing you sure got lots of great shots Ken. Makes it very difficult to chose the pics but #13 of the GBH with it's lovely setting makes it tops for me.
Martin
ZOOM, a little different style for you on these Lots of nice ones, not sure on some comps but I do find #13 GBH very nice, and I am still LMAO on ID of #7 And how is it so easy to like #8, heck I can't even make out one sharp eye on that one buddy
And make certain to follow Chad's suggestion, that techinique is a proven winner
Ahh Ken.....your Nello and bald eagle are extraordinary. Hee hee..... a very fine series. I don't remember seeing a hummer from you before but, I LIKE him. I am glad you did the math on the 400mm and 1.4 tc.
Obviously some fine specimens...and certainly well captured BUT you really outdid yourself, Ken.
The bald eagle is like nothing I've ever seen, the Nello...state of the art!!
I love ur IDs...bald eagle
That hummer shot is very interesting, I like it! unusual perch / angle
Filling the frame w the burd is always nice..amazing detail in that GBH
P.S needless to say winner of the set is the golden Nello maaaan i laughed so hard
Stickied boids are nice, especially the Dumpling Hummie, the Balde Canadian Eagle is hilarious, but the GBH-full-frame-got-close simply rocks. I like to see when someone don't take that "blue" in the boid's name too literally.

Ken,
sweet series & the GBH must have been sitting in your lap.
# 1, 2, 6 & 14 are my top picks here.
nice series & not fair to pick top picks.
I need to get out to do some photography again soon - - I'm going nuts ....
Lil
Lil,
I saw the GBH fly across the pond and land where it did. I carefully walked around, slowed my approach when I got near, and then literally sat down beside it. I had to back off a bit to get it to fin in the frame. If you learn thier behaviors you get them comfortable with your presence and approach very close like this. Either that or I found a stupid one

Thanks Garen, I happy to report that, while once considered highly endangered, the Golden Nello population has recovered substantially in the past year or so

Yep! look who's taking the macros of the "south side of a ducks" ... Tap tap tap... Nice set you have here.. I would crop that GBH tighter
You talking to me? Yes, I know you would crop it tighter but fortunately for both of us, I am not you
Awesome shots! Its posts like this that really make me want to get the 400 5.6. Seems like a great lens! Can't afford the 2.8 just yet. Nicely done tho!
