Hmm, is it really that bad? lol

Anyone have any comments on what I could do to improve the image?

Very nice Phil! I'd maybe lose most of the foreground rock...the foliage is fine, it ties the 2 shores together.

For me it is taken at the wrong time of day (hour after sunrise??) and as a result the shadows are very strong which does not make for pretty lighting.

I also don't like the portrait perspective here because it limits you to exclude the intereresting shoreline on left.

More foreground shore and more to the left would have been more interesting.

Agree with Scott- harsh lighting- unfortunately not much you can do about that other than shoot at a different time of day! Keep posting- don't let the lack of responses get you down!

Thanks for the input guys. Unfortunately, I was on vacation there and thus am unable to try again with different lighting. I do have a wider picture from a different perspective I'll look at; maybe I can do something with that.
