She should be in my arms tonight. I looked at all the other ladies but I kept being drawn back to Lucille.
Anyhoo, my setup is different the the usual as I manage the DNS aspect of my domain name with EasyDNS and I also host my own email system. They said it wouldn't be a problem to keep it that way, I hope that's true.
So any tips to making my venture into the world of Blu as smooth as possible?
If your host is like mine- they require the mail to be on the same server as the DNS for domain names. BluDomain offers email, but double-check with your registrar
Ahahahahahaha! That's funny. I really thought I was gonna see baby pictures. My wife and I just had our 3rd child 3 weeks ago. I love being a dad: " target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Richard Hassas
Realmstalker - I'm hosting with Blu, but I'm hopign I can still retain congtrol of my DNS and E-mail, it's doable as I do that now with Zenfolio, I just it works with them.
Sam - Congrats! The wife and I are babyless.....for now.
It took a while for me, but I had some mixups with payments - only sent $100 when I should have sent $200 because I am not hosting with them.
I ordered Saturday, they sent me an email Monday, I sent payment Monday, they said they didn't know what template I had chosen on Wednesday, I told them Wednesday, and I think I got my site Thursday.
So I guess it didn't really take that long, all things considered. I did put in a site ticket on Thursday and then they got a little more snappy.
aah, not too bad. I just read their blog, apparently the mother of half their staff passed away last night. I'm not expecting my site today...not to sound callous I'm just anxious, I have a massive local ad going out in January and I need 2 websites up and running in the next week to prepare for it, business cards to tie into the design, flyers, etc.
Mine was quick, put in my order at 1:30pm and received an email that my template was ready by 8:30pm. I've read some bad stories but so far so good for me.
