p.1 #1 · A Jumble of Chains

I shot this rather interesting but probably useless collection of chains on a railway gate at a siding. I found it interesting that even though CN adopted its "noodle" logo many years ago the padlock still says CNR.

As an aside, how does this image look for sharpness? I'm working up a new monitor and while I feel I've gotten the colours right--which doesn't matter for this forum--I'm seeing "jaggies" in images where I haven't seen them before. Any comments would be appreciated...

The composition is a bit too busy for me. The image looks pretty sharp. Are you shooting this wide open? to get this kind of DoF, that might induce some softness. All the details in the shot are pretty round, I might expect "jaggies" from a straight line, but not here.

I see no "jaggies" on the sharp parts of the image.
The bokeh looks a little odd to me, however. By odd, I mean not smooth.

Artistically speaking, I like the irony of all the chains and lock, yet it's sitting there unlocked!

Thanks for the comments. This was one of those shots that "had to be taken", but once I took the pic I had difficulty getting it to look the way I wanted it to. It's probably too busy but I can't see cropping through any of the chains, perhaps tighter but that's about it. I wanted to leave some of the gate in the picture to provide some context. Also seems as if the light is a bit flat. With my minimal PP skills its difficult to get the most out of it--I wanted a bit more pop but bringing down the blacks and upping contrast makes it seem too dark...
