I have 4 rokkors, but mostly due to looking for the perfect one. But I actually needed a spare this summer as my first rokkor smashed into concrete and more or less got destroyed.

I find such behaviour outrageous! I mean, first you drain the market and then you smash them.
In the Pentax days I was very fund of my SMC-P A50/1.2. Yes, I bought a second copy.

I am guilty of this. I have 3 copies of the contax 35 f1.4, and 3 copies of the oly 40 f2. Some lenses are so dependable that you can imagine using them forever. I am considering a 2nd 200 f1.8. Usually something better comes along, eventually, but there's no guarantee that 'progress' means improvement.

Haha. Actually it was the other way around, smashing first, draining second I have been looking at that SMC-P A50/1.2. How does it compare to our beloved rokkor?
Anyway this board soon needs to be split in two - alt and rokkor boards

Yes, I have backups of all lenses. Can't have a leaf shutter go down in the middle of a shoot and ruin a job. Plus, there is not a single source of these lenses in Estonia, so a replacement via ebay is at least several weeks away.

I have 2 rokkor 58 1.2s, and only have used one so far. I'll probably keep both of those.
I had a pair of Canon EF 50 1.8 Mk1s but unloaded one. I had spares of Rokkor 35 1.8, but parted with one of those. I have a spare vivitar 28 f/1.9 but will part with that soon. Currently have spare Oly 35/2 and 24/3.5 shift (both duplicates) that I will need to unload in the near future. I love having spares but realistically can't justify it most of the time, mostly due to tying up funds in them that could be better used elsewhere.

Properly a dumb question but, what does rokkors mean?
"Rokkors" just means that he is part of an obscure cult that worships at the alter of an ancient lens. Members of the cult have mystical visions that are invisible to outsiders.
