One from Sun Studios and another from Ted's Camera House. Teds got 2 units, one to me and the other to go to Tasmania. Sun Studios only got 1 unit only
Yes it was. I got a call at 12.30pm. I immediately cancelled all my appointments and drove the for 3 hours to Melbourne. Went to the 2 shops in heavy friday evening traffic to collect the cameras, had dinner with my daughter and then drove home again. All in a days work.
From what I've seen so far, It doesn't look like anyone has got a Premium kit. So much for "Canon will release more of the Kits first" nonsense (Well, Not down here anyway).

Was just thinking exactly the same thing. Another plus mark for Michaels.
geez why can't they make a kit with a quality prime lens like the 24L II or 135L instead of the 24-105L (canon don't bother with 35L or 85L cause I have them already)

Not much point in the kit - they give you about $0 discount on the lens. Why then buy the kit? Pretty stupid.
Michael's is a complete waste of space. Good place to go if you want to be treated like cr@p. If you go in there and don't look like oyu have a heap of dollars they treat you with disdain. Went there last week to see what they could do on a 40D body. Two people behind the SLR counter serving customers (fair enough, they are with someone so can't help me), but the numerous other staff who just walked past me, went on doing nothing, etc was unbelieveable. The fact I was dressed in old work gear wouldn't have anything to do with them instead helping those in the store who looked a bit better off would it Oh well, their loss, I walked in next door and handed the cash over for the 40D body instead. Not the first time that Michaels have missed out my money, but they won't ever get the chance again. They have missed a lot of money from me over the years...I have a lot of gear, and will no doubt be getting a lot more over the coming years, and they won't see any of that either.
