I absolutely love this photograph. It has mystery to it. The model did an excellent job with the expression, and pose. Even the rectangle adds to the photograph. This shot to me breaks the mold and is daring.
Personally, I like it quite a bit. Uncommonly gorgeous model as well. She would make quite a muse.
On this forum, having "vintage-esque" shots are a complete anathema. Anything other than pin-sharp and noise-free doesn't seem to do too well. Take a look at my last thread where I got SLAUGHTERED https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/693643
I agree this is a lovely shot................and also she'd make a good muse. But for some reason, the color in this image seems to distract me. I wonder if you tried it in B&W?
Hey Jonathan H, I just went and looked at your link on the photo that you got bashed on, I don't think people really understood what you were trying to attain there. The whole point was to get a vintage feel for the photo. It puzzles me in a forum of artistic people that some are just techies looking behind a camera trying to get a shot. In your photo I could tell it was a brisk day, the way her hair is kind of big is resembling of late 70's early 80's era. The graininess of the pic evokes our film days of old. This brought me back to a true candid shot of life in that time period and I wasn't even born then.
As for you Daschund Woof, the soft focus is a great addition to the models expression almost giving you a feel of her lax attitude towards the camera like she's done this a million times and is waiting for you to be satisfied.
I'd have to agree with one of the statements above though, a bed would have been nice since it's in the title. but then again it might have been distracting. Great shot.
