p.1 #1 · Quad Tone

The description for this forum dictates, "monotone, duotone, tritone, quadtone, and infrared." I think this belongs here. If not, I apologize.

Was amusing and sad all at once to watch this poor guy slipping across the ice!
Any comments welcome.

Sweet, I like the subject matter, the patterns in the ice make this interesting, and since you've chosen to focus on that I think it adds to the abstraction.

Now, what kind of processing was involved, it almost looks like a split tone to me, beautiful, beautiful! colors though.

**I would have liked to see more negative space at the bottom, the shadow feels crowded and the negative space on top doesn't help the image, but this completely opinion and something I am experimenting with myself.**

Great job t-bone

Very interesting image Tim. I am a fan of the toning that you pursued for the image, but I have a couple of nitpicks with this photo. First of all, i would have preferred the duck to be in focus but I see that wasn't your intention. Also the image is a little too centered for me. Maybe if it was shot landscape with the duck on the left of the image?

Thanks Rhane and Eric. Not sure how to define this (duotone, quadtone, etc.), so if anyone wants to educate me here, please do.
Agree with both of you on the comp being off. Messed with it a lot, but will revisit.

Very different. I think it would be even good in straight B&W
