p.1 #1 · Treacherous Beauty...

Hi everyone-

New to the forum here, wanted to say hi. This image was shot this summer in Glacier National Park along McDonald Creek. It was July but could have easily been any day in October...

Very powerful effect - I like it! Did you blur the backgrounds on photoshop?

aha ... certainly is unique, the background blur, and the vignette gives the look of a miniature landscape.

Brian - this is an interesting treatment that I think I like. My only gripe is from when I tried to check out your site. Any site that takes over my browser window won't ever get another click.

Very unique, I agree with Ashish, looks almost miniature, but it works for me

Hi everyone-

Thanks for checking out the image. I passed it over a few time when going through my images and then came back to it thinking of ways to process it differently.

I'm glad I did because I really like it now.

The image was processed in Lightroom and then the blur and even darker edges were added in Photoshop.

Beerguy- Thanks for replying, but I'm not sure about the issue with your browser.I have tried the website on 4 different systems (pc and mac) today and have had no problems with the "website taking over my browser window".
I maintained all of my controls etc each time. Care to offer further details?

A new website at that same address will be released by Jan 1st so that might correct any problems anyway.

Thanks again everyone for checking out the image...

Sure Brian,

The fact that it forces the browser window full screen irritates the crap out of me. That's just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt but know that I'm probably not the only one bothered by it.

Cheers,
Doug

Doug-

Thanks for replying so quickly. Now I'm on the same page with you. The browser going to full screen is a function of the template from Foliolink.

I'm not an html guy or any kinda web design guy for that matter...lol So that's why I went with the template site.

My guess is that you're probably not going to like my new site either, because it's all about large images and is formatted pretty large. I do know that the window will resize to some degree based on the resolution and screen size.

It is otherwise a pretty minimalist style of site. Even though I think you might not like it, I hope you will stop by and check it out, at least as long as it takes you to figure out you don't like it...lol

Seriously though it will have a ton of large images may of which have not been on the old site.

Thanks for passing along your thoughts. I really do appreciate when someone tells me what the 'really' think. Not enough people do that.

Thanks again...
