I might look at this as a vertical crop, splitting the frame down the middle and losing the left half. I think you would have a winner. See what you think.

Another nice shot of "Your" lake. I agree that the crop is probably a good idea.
I'm looking forward to seeing your interpretations of Kootenay's changing seasons.

I would recommend cropping a little bit off the top. As it is now, the cloud goes directly through the middle of the picture. I think it would look a little bit more balanced if it were about 1/3 the way down from the top. I think you could do that without cropping off the top of the boat mast.
