Can you get that TB drive online?
buy.com has a cavalry HD with twin 1 TB drives but not sure about that specific drive.
They have nice prices on flash cards as well (kingston and sandisk)
buydig.com is another good site.
My 2 cents
From a "tech guy" (Information Technology teacher, former computer technician) check out www.newegg.com. They have a great selection on external hard drives and the enclosures and drives to build your own. We built one at school last year with 5 500gb hard drives. With RAID 5 it works out to 1.8 terabytes. I store all the school pictures on there along with back up files to several servers. You could make your own monster for 200-400 bucks or buy a manufacture one there. Great service and they back their products.
When does Apple ever have sales? They do clearance when they get new product in I guess. Their numbers are amazingly still up, I would be surprised to see them have sales on Mac equipment. Perhaps iPod as they've all become so redundant.
Yes Newegg is the way to go. Amazon is pretty awesome as well, I order enough and had a rush order one time so I signed up for Amazon Prime, I love my free 2 day shipping. It's 80$ for a year but it's already paid itself off and I don't have to buy $25 worth of stuff. I frequent www.slickdeals.net for stuff on sale and they do a pretty good job.
Costco will have sales for CF, SD, UBS flash, mini SD, micro SD, etc.
I was at Costco yesterday and As far as I remember (please double check).
16GB Sandisk USB flash is $60-$20 disc=$40
4GB Sandisk CF Ultra II $30-$15=$15
The rest I dont remember.
Please double check since I put these numbers at 2:30 in the morning (right now).
