He came back but only for a short while so couldnt get this right, but noticed that the overexposure of the hairs is nearly gone....also what's that on his back..doesn't look good...
Looking good Karen - just takes some practice/experimentation to get used to different shooting situations. With my single flash I have to adjust FEC upto 2 stops in either direction depending on the situation.
Think your flower wasp has just got pollenated.

Much better Karen -more "depth" in those shots and fewer hot spots. From the reflections it almost looks like you're still using ratio control. If you are then turn it off -trust me on this one...
Agree with Brian -looks like pollen on that solitary bee (don't think it's a wasp).
The first two are of a sucking bug (Hemiptera, Heteroptera). The pale colours in this adult suggest that it has recently emerged from the last nymphal instar.
Thanks Brian, John and e6filmuser...Will keep trying different things...thanks for on bug and red stuff ID...I thought it was a disease or something, my DH told me it was pollen and I didn't believe him, only comment from him is I told you so....oh well another first for me....Karen
