So, I'd like to see some macro photography other than insects and flowers. What other types of subjects lend themselves well to this style?

I originally acquired interest in macro for industrial types shots of machinery that I never made it around to taking

. I was taken by surprise over the summer how much I enjoyed shooting bugs.

Here's a few samples of some of my shots when I took the dive into macro about 7-8 months ago. Now that flowers and creatures will soon disappear I can concentrate on these type of subjects again for a few months

I went to the beach a few months ago and did some stuff there..

1. bluebottle..

2. starfish.

I like to see non-traditional macros as well.

A bowl of soapy water, food coloring, two flashes (one to pump light into the bowl) and an MPE-65mm macro lens dialed out to around 4x so that the air gaps between the bubbles look like wire...
