Very nice picture, the clouds really are a great addition to the scene. Is this in Alberta?

Wonderful sky, and I love the composition with the placement of mountain and trees. Must be near the border of Alberta and Montana - a wonderful area.

Wow, what a rush of memories. I used to live in southern Alberta (Raymond, Taber, Lethbridge) and had not thought of Chief Mountain for 20+ years. Thank you. Real nice shot too.

Peace,

Todd

Hey Tom,

What an awesome sky! The waves in the clouds are so cool. I would work on the curves though on the ground layer though as I think adding a little pop to it would work well.

Very serene. A fine scene, given that the tones were flat on the day, and, indeed, maybe more can be made of them. The cloud chevrons are great, and I might be inclined to crop the sky above them, to give greater importance to the mountain, and to give the cloud formation even greater prominence (but then I'm a European, who probably would get dizzy under Alberta's big skies)!

Hello,

Thank You for taking the time to comment on this photo.
You are correct it is southern Alberta, near the eastern edge of Waterton park.
I had been hoping that the clouds would develop some color as the sun set, but they didn't.
I may fiddle with the curves some more, I did try already, but the scene took on an unatural look that I didn't like.
I live in the area, so I may try to get another chance at this location and get luckier with the color.

Thanks again,
Tom
