Well, I had a chance to check out Tofino, BC and got out for some whale watching. We were lucky and found a good group of Gray whales to watch and one came right up to the boat. This was my first whale watching outing and I think I learned a few things. The whale will always breach when the camera is busy or not in you hands, and when you have the long lens on the whales will swim right up to the boat so you can't get any pics in focus
I will definitely head out again and hopefully see a few different whales and get out with my 40D instead of the rebel(300D).
A friend of my sons said he and the Mrs spent time in Tofino and mentioned how beautiful it was, looks a wonderful place to enjoy nature. Glad you had a chance to enjoy and share you images.
It is indeed a great place to visit and has so many different things to watch. The coastal rainforest and huge old growth trees are worth a full day on their own.
