Hi Maggie,

I'm pretty new here so this is my first look at your work, and I'm very impressed.

You have a great eye and obviously excellent technique.

1 and 2 are both beautiful, and the Green Heron is a great angle and comp, super detail too.

Nice GBH series, and I really like the Grebe also. Great exposure control on the BE's.

Excellent work, I'll look forward to seeing more.

Apparently you weren't aware that here in the Pacific NW, our Herons always wear bloomers - they're very modest

And if you don't believe that, then you should definitely believe that every home has at least two bald eagles perched on the roof.

Hard to pick a favorite from them as they are all very good. Well, OK maybe except the BG on the Grebe (I think its an Eared Grebe).
My favorite would have to be betweeen the Greenie and the sandpipers. The later is just super; the BG, lighting and composition give the image a special sense of tranquility. I love what you done with the lowly coots. Great eye on that one - its telling a story. Great perspective on that GBH landing too.

Bribing the Kingfisher was easy - just pulled a few slimey little fish from my pocket and voila!

Actually, the KFs are very hefty crops but still, I was closer than the usual. I *love* the Grebe background! Obviously, you have no taste
