I have not forgot about your eagle but you my friend have to pick a bird with a band color that about 6 States use and I am not getting much help from any I have contacted and have gone for help with Pete Nye for a contact and he has put out some feelers. So I am still trying. I did get some info about a nesting pair up on lake erie and this could lead me to some info as I just have a feeling about it.
Anyway hang in there

Karl... I ditto all the nice things already said... you have a true talent buddy.. I like the new crop much better.. one thing I have noticed when posting web sized photos.. you need to include more detail at a smaller size.. same holds true for people photography... if your subjects are just a small portion of the frame and you print out 4x6's the WOW factor is not there.. then take the same photos and print out a 16x20 and all of a sudden you got something worth looking at...
Just my thoughts on subject matter on a small scale.

Hi Karl,
I have not been very active on the forum recently for health reasons and also feeling a bit in the doldrums with the onset of the grey and cold winter and less light and opportunities to go out and take some photos, but just had to view and comment on your post. Actually I viewed the images on my home computer and had to scroll up and down to see the longer ones so I thought I would view them again on the work monitor where I can see all of the longer ones in the one frame.
1 Very nice capture, pose and details. The blue colors on the right are just a bit strong and distracting.
2 Love this one for the form and structure and delicate flowers and also for the rays of light effect in the BG and their complimentary colors.
3 is very nice but leaves me uncertain about how to interpret it.
4 Very nice pose and eye contact, wonderful what can be done with an image of the common sparrow
5 I really like this one for the pose and how the duck is framed by the rushes behind it. I think it could go either way, with or without the reflection and they would both be beautiful images.
6 A classic butterfly pose with nice texture in the wings and good detail.
All a pleasure to view.
Cheers,
Martin
