Earlier this year my wife and I went to Botswana. We flew from London via South Africe and had one afternoon at leisure in Jo'burg. We were keen to get our safari holiday off to a good start and so decided to spend that afternoon at the De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Trust which lies just a short drive from the city. The photo's below were taken there:
I'm with Dan on this one - - beautiful vulture & I sure wish I had one of those gliding over my mountains instead of the rather "plain" turkey vulture I see....

Thanks for your comments, I agree that for a vulture this fella is really quite smart looking, apparantly his habits are just the same as other vultures though!
Dave: thanks for the comment on the wild dog shot. This place has some big enclosures for the Cheetah and Wild Dog (not the same enclosure!) that they drive you through on a 4x4 just like they use out in the parks. The wild dog and Cheetah were both taken on one of these drives.
