Sigh... putting in a missing site ticket. I was expecting this, but deep down I was hoping it would go quick/smooth. The split payment (didn't know it was another $100 for indie hosting) might have messed things up.
Good thing I have lots of patience and don't need the site right away.
Because Lucy missed a blog post, bludomain had a sale going until 12:30AM on the 23rd of Nov.
$100 sites = 2 for 1 deal, and $400 sites were for $100.
I decided on Lucille Ann. I was against blu for a while, but was recently looking at their setup with the client section, and it really made me want a nice, all in one design and setup.
This sale put the nail in the coffin. I'm officially BLU (the waiting game begins, I can't imagine what it's going to be like with all the new users).
Also, I would have posted sooner, but just found out (12:00AM Toronto time) and had to pick and purchase first! I don't know what time zone it's going by, so maybe some of you who were on the fence can still sign up?
What you have to do is click the giant SALE button at the top of the $100 site section. It then gives you two options for hosting - which I kind of chose neither because I already have a host - but then you put your desired template in the Comments section of the Paypal order. Complete the $100 payment and it seems like what they do is email you a code or something to do the whole buying process again with the actual template.
I thought about that when I was ordering. I remembered your thread Serg and tried to think of how many other people had Lucille Ann. I couldn't really think of too many, especially in my area (no one), and liked it the best. It was either that or George, but something about George turned me off.
Anyway, my paypal order has gone through, but no word about anything yet (only been 11 hours). I'll update the thread so everyone can see whether it's worth it in if they have sales in the future.
The "sale" link on their website is still active ... the sale was suppose to end at 12:30am on the 23rd. Do you think they will process my order still?
Considering all the complaints, problems and issues I've heard about Bludomain over the last couple of years I wouldn't sign-up if they gave the things away!

While their designs are nice and I really like my Lucille site, I'm still battling with them to fix the security issues. I guess with all these new users they're not going to get around to it anytime soon....

No problems with either site (got 2 of them). They are fast to answer any questions I have.
I was thinking about getting a site from these guys myself as my site is kinda...well...not very good.
I am a bit nervous due to the negative feedback but pound for pound they sites look great.
Do you think they will have another sale any time soon?
Ah, bummer, got knicked a bit. With any sale, there is a one time fee of $100 to host on your own. I'm not sure if she (Aundrea, who emailed me) meant the lower price sort of sale, or just a transaction. Anyone else know if you pay $100 to host on your own every time?
You can't blame them. Their own hosting ads to their profits; sites hosted elsewhere ad to the workload. I gladly paid the $100 plus $100 deal and will probably pay another $200 to add the shopping cart even though I have a proofing section.
I'm debating being ready to upgrade instead if Lucy misses another blog post, but I'll probably stick with the one I have.
