Here's a couple night shots from the last two nights. First two are from Pescadero State Beach, about a half hour south of Half Moon Bay, CA.

Third image is from Monasterey Beach, about 5 minutes south of Carmel, CA.

This fourth is my shot of Pigeon Point Lighthouse for their annual lighting.

Thanks for looking!

I think I like 3 and 4 the best. Number 3 must have been a pretty long exposure.

Number 3 was just over 30 minutes. It is pointed near west, so most movement in the sky and its also only 28mm so movement shows up more.

good set, looks like some heavey noise control in pp though. try stacking and dark frame subratction for the best results.

There's someting strange going on in these pictures. All of them seem like 333x500pix images blown up to 667x1000pix dimensions and thus heavily reducing the quality as well as introducing pixelation and overall lack of sharpness.

#4 is my favorite with the best overall comp and I also have a thing for lighthouses, so that means another thumb up .

They are very nice, but the softness spoils it somewhat.

I'm not sure why they are doing that for the size. I'll play with it some to see if I can fix it. I orignally uploaded 1000pix pictures but decided they were to big so i replaced them with 800pix ones. The forum must cache the size when it creates the image tags in the post.
Edit: Fixed. Renamed images on server and updated links. Seems to have fixed the broken size.

Yeah quite noisy. I originally tried ISO 1600 so I could get the proper exposure time, then multiply it out when I decreased the ISO. But when I looked at them on the computer I really liked the shorter exposure, high iso pictures best because the clouds hadn't moved as much.
