Got you looking, didn't I ? This E stands for Egret, not Eagle....HaHaHa
These are my closest encounter yet of an mature Egret and a very young one. Hope you like them. C&C from All are welcome ( yes, Dave In LA please chime in as well ) . All are full frame shots.
Also let me know if you like the ones from the 50D or the D3 more. Thanks.
Dan
Great shots!!! After viewing the images, I would say I like the photos produced by the D3 more. Hopefully the images were treated the same in PP, or no PP was applied. The images from the 50D, are in no way bad, but I see a stronger amount of contrast when compared to the D3 images. I prefer the softer tones of the D3 images over the ones of the 50D. Overall I think that the D3 produced nicer shots here, but I think this may be more of a personal choice. I can't see a visible amount of noise in either of the two sets of images and both sets have great sharpness.

Thank you very much Brenton. These are full images with very little PP done. I, personally, like the D3 images too ( I am sure Lil would agree ).

Glad I could help you!!! I shoot canon and what I see from the 50D is what I have been accustomed to with the 40D. The canon 40D for me takes fine images, but I am liking what I see from the D3. Does the D300 preform in a similar fashion?
lookin purdy good Dan
#3 is my fav, but would consider cropping a bit off top and adding that
nice blue bg....sans the dark part. Remember that egrets pp best with little contrast on the bird and your first 4 look great in this regard.
try shooting them on a cloudy but bright day, there is a lot of detail
that can be had in them thar feathers.

I want to point out that I didn't tell you to return it & that I did not compare it to the D3 (that would be unfair to the 50D) I told you to have it fixed.
Why you decietful little rascal you GReat shot, Dan. Never easy controlling the exposure on these burd and you handed them quite nicely! Last one is my top-top pick in this here set.
