OK, I know it's been asked a 100 times before but now that CS4 is out can anyone guide me as to what key parameters one should look for in buying a computer that will perform well with CS4? I don't play computer games, have a lot of photos, make huge panoramas, create HDR images, create ProShows (now with BluRay), etc, etc.
I'm not gonna build one (wish I could) so that's why I'm asking for guidance. Obviously a proper video card is a huge thing now. But what does that really mean? I'm not 100% sure!
I'd appreciate any help on this. Oh and no I don't want to spend $5K either. Was hoping for something under $2K. Thanks again, Bob Ring
it has been thrash3ed to death...and will for awhile yet.

Im not listing parts again you can find them in a thread a little lower down...but I will say this and I can see that many others here will agree....building your own computer is no big deal,it looked daunting to me the first time I did it ...you know what, with screw driver in hand ...one hour later I was finished, another hour after that ,the os was installed and I never looked back,do some research, choose your parts ,put the coffee on and start building....you wont regret it ,and will build a better machine for less dollars....its worth it for sure.
