p.1 #1 · Another Day

I went camping with a group a couple weeks ago.
I woke up before dawn, stoked up the fire for the sleepy-heads and took a walk with my camera.

I returned in time for ~bacon~ and a potluck breakfast of sorts. We went out and studied some geological and paleontological wonderments and went up to a an abandoned silver mine named the War Eagle for lunch.

After the rest of the class split off to cram themselves into the crowded Sunday evening freeway traffic I decided to stay in the desert another night and enjoyed a sunset at the marsh near the hot springs.

Another very mellow and enjoyable day.

Lucky you! what a nice place. Love the sky color in the first one - kind of robin's egg blue. Love the desert color in the second one. It seems as if you took both of them from a fairly low angle? Something just seems off and I can't put my finger on it.

Like the last one best. You might try cropping off the bottom so that you have as much below the horizon as above - to highlight the sunlit mountains. That would show off the best part of the picture!

Thank you. The last does look nice cropped (screenwise). In the top two I'm standing in a bit of a depression/gulley. I'm not sure if that may be what's throwing them or my experiments with near-freakish sharpening.
