p.1 #1 · 11/15/08 Wedding (So Cal Fires)

Shot some of these this past weekend. Wedding was outdoors at the Hacienda in Santa Ana. Most of the shots are straight out of the camera so I haven't done much dirty work to them yet. Let me know what I can improve.

Good set. 2 and 4 look strangely familiar.
in 5 my eyes went straight to the boobs. She may or may not like that. 9 is great but is suffering from a little camera shake. 12 is your strongest image in the set. Good job dude.

Yeah, as a rule of thumb, if you're going to rip off someone's shots, at least acknowledge that you did. It sucks to open a thread and see photos that you've already taken being used by someone else. Sorry to sound mean the to OP, but I think it's fair etiquette.

Honestly I don't visit this site much I post up my pics here and there. I didn't know I ripped off someones image ideas. My fiance usually shoots with me and we share ideas.

Sam posted these about a week or two ago on a thread that ended up having like 100 responses... Maybe it was just a coincidence, but I understand Sam's comment.

Tony, sorry to be a weenie about this, but can one honestly say that there are many original ideas left for a wedding? Odds are someone has thought of your idea already and has taken that shot. The flowers on the bed alternating direction isn't too far of a stretch of the imagination to believe someone could independently come up with the idea.

That said, #2 looks very snapshot to me. I actually like #6, it's clever in my book. Something I haven't seen before. I also like 16 and 17.

You are right on the whole. It's just weird that Sam posted those so recently and it's the first thing he noticed. The same type of thing has happened to me on here and it's kinda frustrating. I'd imagine Sam just wanted a shoutout. That's what I do when I rip his work off

With that said, maybe I'm wrong. If so, I'm sorry. I was just empathetic to Sam there.

Thank You Andrew. If people notice I worked alot of my ideas on the bed as far as the ring shots, wedding dress, etc.

strangely being the key word...
Anyway I would like to start a movement on here.... If it's on a plastic hanger don't shoot it or crop it out.

Nickel I'm feeling all your people shots a lot but not digging the composition on the details. I would like to see the dead space cropped out up top on 7 and more of dad's emotion. I don't know if the image will handle the heavy crop sharply. 5 really is a shot of her cleavage just with a classical soft focus.

So are you saying that everyone that shoots rings in a flower or people jumping are "stealing shots"?!?!

If thats the case I guess we are all guilty including you! Basicaly I think your "Stealing" a shot comment is BS b/c I'm pretty sure that Sam wasn't the 1st to take it!

Thread jack over!

Nice for being right out of the camera!

Thanks for the feedback. I will take your comment into consideration when I do PP and next time I shoot. The plastic hangers do look cheesy after hearing what you are saying. This is only my second year shooting weddings so I still have alot more to learn.

Having the bible opened to a scripture about judgement, famine and pestilence
for the ring shot is definitely original.....

I'm going to steal that idea!!
