This morning, I heard the familiar sound of numerous feeder birds high tailing it away from my deck rail, only to be replaced by a cooper's hawk in a nearby tree. I had the 40D / 300 f2.8 ready by the sliders, shot 10 frames and Aaaarrggggg, the 40D locked up. It was too busy buffering. I only had a slow ultra II card in it , so I missed the best shots. That will never happen again, Extreme IV or faster from now on in my bodies. Here's a few I managed from the first ten frames, through the sliders. iso 800 f2.8 at 1/500 and 1/640 shutter.
Herb
Zoooper shots Herb. I got bit by a slow card on my Bosque trip this year and have learned my lesson too. The few dollars I saved where not worth the time I lost waiting for the buffer to clear.
