hi everyone, i just signed up 2 days ago, i'm just amazed at all the pictures that are on here. I just got interested in photography in May and absolutely love taking pictures now. My mom always pushed me to get interested in taking pictures growing up but I wasn't interested. But then I bought my first Canon Rebel XT and I got hooked! Well, here's my favorite of this year:

Here's mine. I don't usually shoot "people" - more landscape. Anyways - the picture is from Yad Veshem (the Jewish holocast museum) in Jerusalem. We had just finished going through several hours of emotional upheaval; upon walking out of the museum, there was this line of young Israeli female soldiers lined up at a clear glass railing with their male "commander" talking with them. Very powerful scene.
