#2 My Middle daughter
Kitehog ... that pic of your middle daughter is my favorite on the thread so far. Great lighting, pleasing soft look, nice framing, etc. Well done!
Not my best by a long shot but my favorite. I was lucky enough to see my girlfriend graduate college. I never went to college so it makes me just that much more proud of her

Here's mine. I don't usually shoot "people" - more landscape. Anyways - the picture is from Yad Veshem (the Jewish holocast museum) in Jerusalem. We had just finished going through several hours of emotional upheaval; upon walking out of the museum, there was this line of young Israeli female soldiers lined up at a clear glass railing with their male "commander" talking with them. Very powerful scene.

Please don't make this a political issue - just a striking moment for a photo.
Every Israeli soldier goes through Yad Veshem. For many of them it's their first visit. Nice photograph.
Geeze, the great images here make me feel like an amatuer. I don't get how you guys are able to make your photos look so nice.

This may not be my best, but it is certainly my favorite. I feel as if the mood I wanted for this image came out perfectly. Some may complain about the cropped head but I love it the way it is and it is my favorite from 2008.
The little girl with the coloring book is the winner. Some day I should get a scanner so I can submit my pictures here. But there is the concern about theft and plagiarism.

Then don't look. If you don't look you wont want to steel all our ideas
Not my best, nor my favourite, but my last shot of 2008. Taken at a New Year's Eve Professional Bull Riders event. Used the 50L for a few right at the end. A bit too shallow, but the best under the ambient light.
