p.1 #1 · A Day along the Mornington Peninsula

Here are a few shots from a recent day trip along the Mornington Peninsula, about 2 hours south of Melbourne Australia.

Nice shots. I particularly like #2 and #4.

#4 stands out for me. It looks like you made the most of some difficult weather.
I remember riding that ferry or its sister ship. That is a great part of the world.

Pretty! I like the deep colors of #2 and #4, but #3 is my favorite composition (in spite of the 50/50 horizon split).

Thanks - I'm not from Melbourne, only visiting for the year from Toronto, Canada so I wasn't expecting to see scenery like this that day. I was with my wife and and one of her friends so I sort of took these as quick snaps and didn't linger around too much, or as much as I would have if I was alone.

I wish I had a better wide lens, at the moment I'm stuck with my Sony kit lens, a 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 which isn't the sharpest lens - I would have preferred to be using my Minolta 50mm f/1.7 but it wasn't wide enough.
