4 is my favorite. This definitely lends to a "dreamy" quality in the photographs. Very cool!

You have good vision for both color and form Mike. With the type of shooting you are doing don't hesitate to use the 200-400 ISO range too, I think there would be little effect on your style of shooting if there is any need to bump it.

I find #2 most appealing, excellent compt and nice depth to it. The colors and the lace like ruffled orchid in #1 are too quite pleasing. I think #4,5 would be your weakest of the group, and as a thought since I like this type of work would be having another leaf in the BG very soft to shadow the one in #3 adding a bit more depth, the shot is great just me thinking

These plants look very familiar to a place I shoot in Cleveland OH at Rockefeller Garden Greenhouse, I must make a trip again soon Nice work Mike IMO

Hi Mike,
My pick will be #1 liked that dreamy look a lot, but I must confess I never used my 85LMk1 in this fashion; never crossed my mind, I may give it a try myself.

Thanks everyone...

Karl: Its funny I took something like 296 shots to get these 5 Not that they were all bad. It could have been that by shot 200 I was tired of PP. I had though having a tripod this time would make a huge difference. I dont think it did. I got more keepers the first time handheld with AI Servo on. My buddy who was shooting with me using a 70-200 was poking fun at my style wishing me good luck getting something in focus. The 85L is hard enough wide open at "normal" focus distances...its really crazy with one 25mm tube on and I am considering trying 2. My thought was that when it works it works like nothing else

Shot #2 - I had been in that "succulent" room many times and tried to come out with something with the leaves. I took that shot and somehow knew it was going to work.

Shot #3 - I probably have that "extra leaf" on the cropping floor so to speak...

Here's another one from the cactus area:

These are really excellent, Mike.
You have a very unique and appealing style. I am not a super fan of flower images--but I love these, and they make me go back and look again.
#2 is my favorite. Good job!
