p.1 #1 · Girlfriend + 5D + Totally Rad action set = FUN!
Wanted to go out and mess around with my skateboard and girlfriend. With the intention of solely using the Totally RAD action set for Photoshop CS3 to edit.
Really didnt want to setup any stands or anything, tried the minimalist approach. 50 1.4, 580ex with OC-E2 handheld with LumiQuest MidiBouncer, and 5d.

Good set. I like the first one the best I think, though her smile in #2 also works well.
In the first: the tilt, the lighting, the vibrant colors, the pose, and the facial expression all work.
The 4th & 5th both seem slightly out of focus, and I don't think her expression is all that great in the 5th.

she is alot more photogenic when she smiles. i tell her that all the time. when she doesnt smile it looks like she is trying too hard.

Great set and the PP is excellent... not too over the top but yet enough change to give it nice style. Very nice !!!!!
Only nit is I would love to see the eyes in the shots that the sunglasses arent as critical as in the first shot (2, 4, and 5 would be nice to see the eyes).

Nice set! TRA is a great investment. I like #1 the most. Very nice composition. I know you took the minimalist approach and were holding the flash, but I think these could have looked even better with the flash farther away from center. Nevertheless, very nice!

Yes, encourage her to smile. #2 looks very appealing. Nice smile.
Good set. I like the skateboard prop, and having her sit on it works
well for adding interest to the shoot. #6 would have been great if she
was smiling and was not wearing sunglasses, which I don't like for portraits.
I want to see the eyes.
