That would be the lens, wouldn't it? I'd LOVE to have a 300 F4 VR. My 300 F4 is great, but VR would make it 10X more useful for what I do!

Just messing around dude , it's shot with a sigma 50mm and D200 , not apples to apples .. just the same species of snake.

Yeah, that VR sure does help. Wish the 300 F4 I was using had VR

It'd be perfect then.

Nice shots, Darren. The first looks to be a black tree monitor, Varanus beccarii, a very cool saurian.

And you obviously have not read all the garbage about the D2X being no good beyond ISO 400!
