Hmmm. A little fire action. Because of the low light you have the performer fairly dark (and centered). To put more emphasis on the performer, and to place him in ROT position, crop left side and top.
That might help.

Hi the exposure is totally ambient, therefore the darkness which I think is spot on perfect. This is a tougher shot than one would think. As far as centering it is off center notice the fire baton position. I do agree with chopping some off the top. Thanks for taking the time to critique I appreciate it. Dave

Dave, if you disagree on cropping the left side, tell me what's over there that is interesting or worth keeping? What does that dark area add to the shot?
And by centered, I meant the performer is centered. Cropping both left and top enlarges your shot, and makes the subject stand out more. Photo 101 - Fill the frame.

Jim I agree on the photo 101 part of it. In this photo due to the action and the ambient light I feel like the negative space adds to the photo to show the scope of the lighting and to give the viewer a feel for the scene. But I will do a crop and re-evaluate. i do appreciate the suggestion. Thanks

There's always more than one way to present the picture. Your way may turn out better.
