She seems to brighten up the beach a bit. OK, a whole lot.

I like the lighting and most of the pose. I'm still thinking about that 'leg in the air' look, but I'm smiling while I'm thinking. Good work.

Wow! Lovely model, setting, light is nice with a nice dropoff, and the bronze colors are perfect.

I'm not really sure what else to say since my technical knowledge of lighting and posing is still in the works.

I questioned that too but went with it. I was tired of the standard leg over the other one with the knee touching the ground pose. Been there done that a thousand times. I think she is thin enough that it works ok. I think I am more worried about the composition and perhaps should make this a square crop instead of worrying about the 9x6 format it was shot originally.

Wanted a little more in tight to her body and face instead of a full length. She posed that way which was different than the standard knee to the sand pose we see a thousand times. I elected to keep it that way for this frame and the 9x6 format made me.

I can always go square if I want to...

Gorgeous photo of a beautiful model. Her eyes stand out. The lighting is perfect. The wind in the hair outstanding. Wish I could take photos like that. Did you use a reflector? From the catch lights/shadows looks to be about 4-5 pm. Which lens JT? 85?

The shot is stunning and she is beautiful. There is the leg in the air issue Jim mentioned, but the intesity of her look is enough to pull us away from that. And, like you said it's something different. The new crop that you posted cures the issue too.

What bugs me the most is the top of her hair being clipped; her hair has enough lines in it, being so straight, that the lines are broaken by the crop. If you have a little space on the top, I'd add it back in. Interestingly, the new crop you posted seems to mitigate this issue, but I'd still like to see a little more space on top.

And like Kurt said, I wish I could take a photo like that!

I like your second crop too. (I commented on the leg in the air, but I still like the shot. Something different, as you say.) If anything, in this second crop, she might be too close to the left edge of the frame. (And now that I compare, maybe not close enough in the first one. Over thinking this, perhaps.) The crop position on the right looks good.

As others have said, the light is stunning. Her eyes are lit perfectly, blazing with energy, and the skin tone is gorgeous. Crop discussions aside, this is magazine perfect.

This is a really nice photo. The only thing bugging me is her head chopped off at the top and I see a smudge on her left inner thigh near her bikini bottom.
