Do it! It's really all you need. You won't regret it.

Really? Hmm looks okay on my monitor. Anyone else care to chime in and let me know if it looks overexposed??

it looks bright, but not over exposed. IMO i see to much stuff which is way to dark. I often wonder how people print that dark stuff

Once again: it's bright but still OK...

oh. i've calibrated my screen... (as if that says something )

Looks OK on mine... maybe a tad bright but great DOF.... cute subject too! Nice shot. Glad to see you like yours... I've just not had the time to use mine very heavily... Maybe this weekend.

I think the skin tone doesn't really look very natural - too pale. Other than that they look really good.

Yeah, it's a bit cranked and a bit too cool, but this is all a matter of preference. I like overcranking skintones in some situations, just depends on what you're going for.

The second shot is definitely a bit over.

That first shot has some nice POP to it. It seems the Sigma 50 is a keeper.

Thanks a lot, everyone! You are all correct, his skin is a bit overexposed. Thank goodness I have you all to point out my mistakes...that could have cost me! I don't know what I'd do without Y'all awwwwwwwwww shucks .

And yes, Andre, it is most definitely a keeper. I got it in hopes to replace the D300 30/1.4 combo that I dearly adored, and it has done just so and then some!

Ya, I went back and forth on warm vs cool in post, and ended up going towards the cool side of things. The blues and greens do better in a cooler tone than a warmer one.

Thank you. He does have very fair skin, but you're right....a tad bit too much.

I'm not sure I'd say he's too bright... but he's certainly too WHITE! Get that kid a tan!

If your going for that hot exposure fashion look I think he's just fine. I definately like the look.

It's so much easier to shoot kids from that angle than dragging out the ladder for big people.

No doubt! Vitamin E is necessary.
