following on from the previous Nz pictures, Auckland harbour at night. our hotel was about a 15 drive away which made life a little easier for a change
the sky hadnt turned the best of colours durig sunset with the normal disapearnce of the clouds.
then some more clouds drifted through the secene cathing the last light on the horizon and cating the glow of the street lights.
I quite like the boats, they kind of belong to the scene. The blue is great, especially placed right in the center which strengthens it. It's the perfect time for such a shot with sufficient light in the sky and all the lights on. Very good!

I agree with Ute : your timing was excellent in catching that brief window between day and night when the sky is just right . I can imagine the tension as you waited for the blue light to show up properly before the twilight faded ; this might have lead to a minor over-exposure elsewhere , but that doesn't matter because you have the image and , for you especially , it will always recall those magic moments in a distant land ....
PS : Kindly excuse the poetics !

waiting was ok although i had to be quick as this time of night the light falls fast. the boat cabin is a little hot, but detail is visible on screen at a better size.
