My family was invited to stay 1 night at Oceanside with friends, so we loaded up our lil' daughter, had someone stay with the dogs and fish and took off for one of my favorite beaches on the top half of the Oregon coast (never been to the bottom half, yet).
Note: For this shot, I have a second version of the same RAW file developed with a warmer color temp and then blended between the sky to the sand for a nice transition - this made the sand look more natural - the red in the sky reflecting on the sand didn't look right to me.....
Note: Clouds are added from a different trip to this same beach, but over 1 year earlier (July 2007). The morning sky was very bland, so I decided to add a more interesting sky from the same place but a different visit. I was careful to find one that had sunrise qualities to it - even though this is from a sunset shoot !!
Thank you very much for looking and leaving a comment if you feel like doing so.
Love #3, though I wonder what it'd have looked like with a long exposure, like 30sec or more, clearly would have been totally different, but I'm thinking it might have been nice, to really emphasize the dreaming quality. Love those colors and rocks, you made the most of the sunset!
Cool shots all around here. #2 is the only one that really didn't speak much to me. But I liked #1 alot, with how you handled those rocks in the foreground, and the longer shutter speed effect in the water. As others have already mentioned #3, all I can say is that one totally rocks! I like your work in #4, and it looks totally realistic, so good on it.
