Another shot from my Fall foliage adventure. This cabin has been deserted for years and it sits on the edge of a huge field nestled in between the Ossipee Mountain range in NH.
EXIF data seems to be garbled so K20D, Pentax 35mm Limited, ISO 400, 1/250@f/11.
It looks pretty cool. It is a bit big though, so with scrolling it's hard to say for sure, but I think you could crop off most of the sky, there is nothing there anyway, and have the cabin with the tree's behind it. I would crop just below the top of the tree on the left.

I like the second one alot. Nice colors and framing, howver the chiminey seems soft to me??
I noticed the same thing, but when I zoom in it seems okay. Not as sharp as my 17-40L though. Perhaps the lens is soft at f/11 in the center Can that be possible

I agree....the crop is nicer. I like the image a lot. Old cabin in a lovely site, with killer fall color, and i like the grey day atmo and light.

Thanks Barry. I was pretty happy that the clouds rolled in on this shot, I just wish they had moved out of the area when I was done! The cabin is in an area next to Conner Pond (1,000 feet elevation) in Ossipee, NH.
Beautiful photo
Stunning location, makes you wonder why the cabin was deserted.
Was the meadow farmed?
Is it a remote location?
The larger picture really draws me in.

The clearing is kind of in the middle of nowhere. The meadow was farmed at one point but not sure exactly what they farmed. I talked to a guy who lives in a house year-round on the edge of the clearing. He was a little nutty. The dirt road that goes up to it is very narrow, but follows a beautiful stream with native Brook trout in it. Once you get to the clearing it's kind of weird because it's so open. Glad you like the larger picture. Oh....there are actually a few large mountains behind the cabin but you can't see them due to the low clouds.
