A little of both, actually. Over 4,000 feet up on the mountain and we we were rocked by a rumble of thunder from a stealthy storm approaching unseen from the other side of the mountain. As we rushed to get down off the exposed summit, this was the scene, beautiful to see but completely terrifying as lightning bolts flashed around us.

1DII, 17-40L. Enjoy, and please let me know if its too dark. I processed it on my laptop monitor and it looks good on full brightness but not so great with the back light turned down.

Nice composition, but wish that pile of rock could stand out from the rest a bit more.

lucky u didnt get stuck by one, did u get a chance to see if that pile of rock had any signs of it being hit by one?

It is a bit dark but is a really nice composition. Nice work.

Thanks for the comments everyone. No sign of lightning hitting that particular pile of rocks, but I'm sure the summit has taken many hits over the years.

I'd try to get more contrast, lighten the lighter areas and darken the deep stuff more. I don't think it is too dark overall. I think it simply needs a little more contrast.
