Fall in the Adirondacks brings not only changes to the colors of the trees but also to the colors of the resident animals. The loon morphs from its dashing black and white to a more more pedestrian drab gray. This guy is somewhere in the middle of this process as it prepares for the trip south to escape the soon-to-be ice covered lakes.
