Was doing my bobcat-sitting when this coyote casually jogged toward me. He was caught by surprise when he recognized my presence...About 2 hours later, the bobcat came by on the exact same path. It too, was surprised to see me. It was a good afternoon.
# 2 & 3 are my favorites cause he/she looks so happy to see you. Well, at least in # 2. But, in that shot the coyote almost looks like your average dog greeting a friend.
Now, the bobcat in # 6 does not look like it's greeting a "friend".
Great series & I was planning to go to BC today, but I'm not up to it due to another headache... Maybe during the week or next weekend.

Lil
Thanks Lil - hope you feel better soon. Lots of things are going on at BC based on images from Tim, Doug and Ken.
This was my first encounter with the coyote. It's a beautiful animal. Its tail is gorgeous, for lack of better word. I was a bit nervous at the beginning b/c I wasn't sure how it would react nor familiar with its behavior. The bobcat, on the other hand, is quite predictable.

It looks like he is singing, like in that Honda commercial.
Awesome pictures. Do the bobcats and coyotes keep their distance from you? Definitely a couple animals I would not want to tangle with.
good job
Thanks Tommy. The bobcats are pretty shy and elusive. Regarding the coyotes, I need to get smart on them. Don't know enough about their behavior. I would venture to guess that the two don't get along...
This forum is going to the cats and dogs with you around, Thang Congrats on the Coyote sighting - see their scat everwhere but so seldom actually see them. Well done on the kitty too

Ken
Ok. I will stop now Ken. Don't want to turn this into a "PET" forum or else I will get an ear full from Johnny Bravo.
I like #1, but it seems like there's too much blurry or moving in the foreground at the bottom of the shot. You also might try cloning out the OOF green leaf on the left side of the shot right next to the Coyote.

#3 is beautiful!
Thank you. Yes, the blurry is caused by shooting through the branches/brush. I left it in to make the shot more realistic.
