p.1 #1 · raw converter to replace C1

I just got a new vista 64 with 8gb of ram to replace my ailing xp with 3gb
ram.

I have been using C1 for a couple of years plus and found nothing that was as fast to use when editing a large number of images. I was very surprised to find that C1 will not work with vista 64............so what is out there now that has the same real time adjustments as C1??

I looked at all the converters that were out there some 2-3 years ago and havn't a clue as to what has transpired since them.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Capture One Pro version 4 is coming soon.
If you are using a licensed version of C1 pro 3.7.x the update to version 4 is free.

As a side note.....I dn loaded light room 2 last night and "fooled" with it a while-----seems WAY too much to get the results that C1 does so simply........or.........could just be me try to figure out new software.

Still can't find how to batch process with preset preferences for size, jpg, tiff, ect.

Jack,
I just finished processing 450+ images using Capture One 4.1.2.20146.19940 on my machine running Vista Ultimate 64 bit. It runs flawless for me, but it is still a 32 bit program. Your machine should run it and considerably faster than with XP 32 bit.

I also have Lightroom 2 and it works well, but it's a slower workflow than using C1 4.

Guys..thanks for the replies..........I just dn loaded C1 4 and it works fine. I was using pro.(didn't make that clear)..pro has a faster workflo the c1-4, bu I will adjust. You are right about light room......some nice stuff, but slower to get thru a large number of images.

The new 4pro version is due in a few days.....(what great timing!!!)

C1pro 3.7 runs fine on Vista 64 ignore the warning at start-up and never a problem.
