I have all the confidence in the world buddy
You can do better......... We know you can.............. We just wish you would start trying
Yeah it was all the envy in me speakin' earlier buddy the shots are....well you know...don't make me say it
This is a Red Tailed Hawk without the red tail yet. It takes three years for the tail to turn red.
What part of California did you find this beauty?
Cheers,
DeeDee
Thanks DeeDee. No way to read the band. Thanks on the info with regards to it's age. My I.D. knowledge isn't the best so I do appreciate you passing that along. Glad you liked the shot and it was taken near Moss Landing Northern California around the Santa Cruz area
Ant, these are some great HIF shots... DUDE amazing.. did you crop much or were they full frame? I also was wondering about IS on or off... I was starting to experiment with this off, I normally have it on all the time.. I read some feel the IS lacks focus speed, but I never would of thought this... Well anyway.. Sorry I missed the first page on this one... I was kinda busy taking like 800+ photos
Great photos Ant, count 1 , 2 and 3 as my favourites. Wonderful pictures for grab shots, you must have everything ready when you travel around. I usually record a blur when I try this.
Just excellent shots Ant. I wish I could get some BIF shots like these. Maybe now that I have the shorter lens I can hand hold it on the Bush Hawk and try this. My 500 was just too much for me to hold up any more.
Very, very nice indeed.
Number 1 is perfect.
No.2 and 3 might benefit from a bit looser crop so that the birds don't feel boxed in.
However, that's a matter of visual preferences and taste.
