This is a Red Tailed Hawk without the red tail yet. It takes three years for the tail to turn red.

What part of California did you find this beauty?

these are near full frame with only a slight crop off of the left side. I could try to get a number

But from the looks of the tag the numbers are off to the other side or back. I hve sent a PM for another shoot ......... Let's see if he replies
