p.1 #1 · A few from beyond the grave.......

With Halloween coming up an all, a few shots from the local graveyard !

Lots of very nervous Bush Stone Curlews and Rainbow Bee Eaters there. Lunchtime shoot, 31 degrees C, full sun ! Very peaceful place to spend your lunch hour.

Unusual location Andy,

but graveyards are normally rather calm & peaceful, so I'm not surprised at wildlife.... Actually my father tells me that there's a lot of deer which visits my little brother's grave......

In all honesty, I would probably also go in if I could get a Rainbow Bee Eater. Especially since I've not ever seen one......

My top picks... # 1, 2, 4, & 5

# 2 has that extra edge of creepiness somehow...

Chill in the air maybe... or the creep factor in the #2 shot with that eye starring at you. Nice Halloween series.

, thanks for the comments.

Like I say, a very tenuous tie in with halloween, for me at least as it's summer here. It's not quite the same as freezing your you know whats off while the kids trick or treat.

Think i need a "tombstone" hide to get closer to those bee eaters !

Very peaceful place to spend your lunch hour.

It's supposed to be a peaceful place. Did you enjoy your lunch?
Among the photos you took,Rainbow Bee Eater ( just looks like Carmine
Bee Eater) is my favorite and I wish we had this bird in the US.
Thanks for sharing.
