p.2 #1 · online ordering - good idea or waste of time?
The potential profit for print sales w/ my clients is low. They might buy a print or two, but I include files in their packages. Nonetheless, even if I didn't, it wouldn't matter as none of my clients have made prints from the CD for their relatives and friends.
I use zenfolio for proofing and I really like it. Even if I don't get print sales, it saves me the hassle of sending out proof CD's. I just e-mail a link and they're good to go. Even if no one buys anything, it's still good to have.

That seems like an odd philosophy. Grandma gets better prints than the bride (who printed at Wal-Mart). High-res files are not part of any of my packages. Print sales make up 30% - 35% of my gross income from photography.

If the bride thinks so little of her wedding photography as to get it printed at Wal Mart, then it would seems she'll get what she asks for. And when I give out a CD of images, it comes with a strong recommendation of a local professional lab, as well as a "disclaimer" and lesson about budget/Wal Mart prints... Finally if she wants the same print that Grandma got, she can order it directly from me just as easily as Grandma did.
