p.3 #1 · What's Your Color Accuracy?

Got a 3 at first, then after another 2 tries got a 0 (couldn't live with anything less than a 0 ).. callibrated apple 20in.

What's interesting is the first few times I kept on consistently mixing up the same teals, which actually makes sense since I've always had a weak spot with the cyan color channel, but have a lot of sensitivity to oranges.

I'm glad you're all getting a kick out of this, I thought it was rather fun and probably useful for testing calibrated monitors. I should note that I did my test on a calibrated apple display, probably a month after calibration.

And yes, it is indeed an eye killer, be warned!

Cheers,
Thomas

Uncalibrated Samsung 244T (in linux right now). In general, the monitor is warm, but universally so across all hues.

I got a "4" with my uncalibrated 22" HP. Before the test, I thought it wasn't that good and was thinking about getting it calibrated..:-)))

I don't think this should be taken as a test to show if you're calibrated or not, as nshupe said, you can be off evenly, so even thought the hues are in order, you will be shifted off from correct throughout.

Take it as a calibration method for your own eyes

Scored 3. 60 year old eyes, 15 year old Trinitron. Lots of squinting.

Hmm... a perfect '0' on my uncalibrated 12.1" wide laptop!

Think it tells us more about our eyes than it does about the monitor ?

16 on an uncalibrated 4 year old ThinkPad. I will try it at home tomorrow on my calibrated desktop to see if I am any less blind.

I don't think that it is important for this test if your monitor is calibrated or not. If the colors are wrong they are all wrong in the same way. So in the end it makes no difference.

My result was 15, at work and in a bit of a hurry.

0.

On a quickgamma calibrated and absolutely wretched T42 14.1" (not the IPS... sigh) monitor.

Good to have young 24 yo eyes.

I first scored a 7 on an uncalibrated monitor, when I got home I tried it on my work PC's calibrated monitor and scored a 0. I know this test doesn't signify whether or not your monitor is calibrated correctly, but it does make a difference if it is and what monitor it is.
