Hi All,
Lately I have been doing more interiors and architecture.
I use the Canon 5D, the 16-35/2.8 Mk II and the Canon 45mm/2.8 TS-E lenses mainly. I always shoot RAW files. I use the zoom at its wide setting a lot and seem to fight its faults. Also looking into alternative glass as well.
My system is the latest Mac Pro and the 30" Apple Cinema Display. I use Photomechanic as my file previewer/organizer and Photoshop CS3 for image editing.
I need to pay more attention to lens distortion & chromatic aberration and perspective control in general. I know there are all kinds of workflow and editing software options out there. I wonder if I am missing out on a good combination?
I have been a Photoshop user since version 3.0 but have never used Lightroom or Aperture. I downloaded DxO Optics Pro and PTLens to try. PTLens seems to work well and is very intuitive and I like how you can use ACR first and then use PTLens as a Photoshop plugin.
But here is the question (finally): is there a better combination out there? I know some guys use variants of Lightroom/Aperture/ACR/Capture One/DxO Optics/PTLens etc...
Any thoughts on this would be most welcome!!!
