Didn't realize that this was injured, seems like in both eyes too, till I uploaded the images to my PC at home. All I had noticed was a green tinge on its head. Looks like it's been in some fight, or just that what it thought was an easy prey fought back somehow. This mantis was not a small fella, a good 4 inches from head to tail, not including its feelers. Such is the jungle out there.
