When you can't find anything else, there's always the reliable fly.

This one was very interested in my knee.

I had no idea that flies actively hunted for live prey, but found these on a black-eye susan eating hoppers. (shows how much I know about insects

)

LOvely captures.
Last two shots are muscid flies Coenosia species which are insectivorus.

I actually like #1 the most, the angle of the eyes are cool. last two shots are wild, btw, I also didn't know flies ate bugs.
